Undercrag Cafe is a hidden gem, run by the Hadwin Family and tucked away on the edge of the village of Torver near Coniston. This cosy cafe serves delicious organic vegetarian dishes and scrumptious home-baked cakes. Mr Duffin’s coffee is served here, along with hot chocolate and chai tea. Dogs are welcome, so bring your furry friends along too!
Everything about Undercrag makes you feel good —from the fresh, wholesome food to the friendly service and beautiful surroundings. Set in a stylishly converted barn with wooden beams draped in magical fairy lights. It’s a great place to escape life’s hustle and bustle for a while.
At Undercrag, you can sit by the wood-burning fire on a comfy couch with a good book whilst sampling the fine food on offer. The aromas of freshly ground coffee and sweet pastries fill the air. You can enjoy a delicious lunch or afternoon tea with homemade cakes, sandwiches and salads. The perfect place to relax with friends or family, whether for a quick drink or a full meal!
The art gallery has been curated by local artist Jackie Hadwin, who holds regular workshops at Undercrag throughout the year. There are also many walking trails around Torver and Coniston, so why not stop by Undercrag for refreshments after a walk in the hills? Or make a day of it and book into a watercolour workshop with Jackie Hadwin?
