The Coniston Inn

1 min read

Previously known as the Waterhead Inn, the Coniston inn is situated in an idyllic spot on the shores of Coniston Water. The inn has been a working hotel for over 100 years and has certainly honed its craft in that time. Recently Coniston Inn has undergone substantial renovations inside and out of the building.

Boasting 42 luxurious ensuite rooms, a sizeable pub and restaurant and a mind-blowing beer garden with space galore. Furry friends are not forgotten; this place is dog friendly. If you want to escape the hustle-bustle but still be within walking distance to Coniston  Village, this is the top of the tree.

There’s nothing better than coming down from the fells to a hearty meal and a pint. There’s plenty of room for everyone, and muddy boots are welcome. Serving anything from a Cumbrian breakfast to a Sunday roast plus daily delicious specials.

If the weather is fine, you can’t go passed the vast outside space on offer at the Coniston Inn. There really is something for everyone; children can explore the magical fairy garden or play on the shore of the lake while parents get some downtime in one of the private wooden pods. If you have a special occasion, birthday, anniversary or even a wedding, there’s oodles of space within the grounds for any one of these occasions.
