High quality personalised sightseeing, driver-guiding and walking tours in Cumbria, including the Lake District National Park. We have many years experience of operating in Cumbria and with the contacts built over these years we are able to include special and unusual visits in our itineraries. We use the services of select Blue Badge Guides (professional tourist guides who have been selected, trained, examined and registered) and local experts to give a comprehensive guiding and lecture service.

Guiding Services - we provide Blue Badge Guides to accompany individuals or groups on foot, by car or coach. Languages and special interests available on request.
Driver-guided Tours - for individuals or small family groups in our very comfortable sightseeing vehicle, a Renault Espace, which is elevated enabling passengers to see over dry stone walls and hedgerows. Range Rover, Rolls Royce or limousine also available.
Walking Tours - programmed and customised walks in Cumbria and the English Lake District for individuals and small groups. Experience the atmosphere of and gain an insight into the region's unique and beautiful landscape. Our tours are led by Blue Badge Guides who will bring out the very best of these areas.
Study Tours - give a comprehensive insight into the area and are often based on special interest themes or follow a specific request from our clients. These can be a combination of sightseeing, walking and lectures.
Conference Tours - which are pre or post conference tour packages for individuals or groups. Half day and full day local sightseeing tours for conference delegates.
A Consultancy Service - for tour operators and group leaders bringing people to Cumbria. We can help you give your clients and groups the best possible visit to Cumbria using our specialist knowledge and contacts. |

| CUMBRIAN DISCOVERIES is run by husband and wife team Richard Hyde and Nicola Godfrey-Evans. Nicola and Richard have many years of experience and both have the coveted Blue Badge guiding qualification. Nicola has been in tourism for over twenty years - guiding and tour operating and she is a nationally recognised guide trainer. Richard has worked for the Lake District National Park, is a keen photographer and a well known study leader for alumni and museum tours. |
